A Story in Color
ZADIMA (zah-dee-mah), a name woven from the initials of their family—Zach, Dicky, and Maria.
The idea for Zadima was born in 2023 from a desire to bring soul and color back to the work wardrobe. In a world obsessed with neutrals —where fashion often leans toward sameness and business casual pieces feel uninspired—we found clarity in color.
The journey started with Maria sketching designs by night, testing fabrics by the weekend and Zach searching tirelessly for the right partners. Their research led them to the old mills in Italy, where luxury fashion houses often leave behind rolls of exquisite, unused fabric. With a commitment to sustainability and a reverence for craftsmanship, they began sourcing these precious and limited deadstock materials to give them a second life.
The challenge then grew more ambitious—as a self-funded business, the goal was to transform these delicate materials into something modern, thoughtful, and lasting, all through small-scale production. After visiting factories on weekends, they discovered a woman-owned atelier in the heart of New York’s Garment District, which became the birthplace of their first collection.
Philosophy
The story of Zadima is rooted in truth, elevated by the grace of our materials, defined by thoughtful design, and driven by the passion and care of the people behind it. We work exclusively with deadstock fabrics from Italy’s most celebrated fashion houses—luxurious materials, often in colors beyond black and white, left behind and now reimagined into timeless pieces, all made locally in New York City.

Crafted from luxurious deadstock fabrics once sourced by Italian Maisons, each Zadima garment is thoughtfully designed, hand-cut, and made in New York City. These rare textiles are both environmentally conscious and made to stand the test of time.
Each Zadima piece is a labor of love, produced by our incredible team, stitch by stitch, zipper by zipper. We repurpose and refine until we find the perfect fit, fabric, and finish—always in tasteful hues that transcend the ordinary.
